Ooh-err, Now it's Hardcore Mary Poppins!

So, for today's dip into the world of fetuses that deserve to have been delivered with a carving knife and fork, we turn our attention to the world of movies.

More specifically, the five Oscar-winning, all-time family viewing favourite 'Mary Poppins' - a film that's delighted millions across generations since its release in 1964.

Up until now, that is. You see, somewhat typically of those nowadays who appear to have carved a career for themselves by going through life in general with a nitpicking comb so they can find fault with everything and anything, and feel good about themselves for doing so because their lives are otherwise shallow if not empty of joy others feel from watching a wholesome and entertaining movie such as Mary Poppins.

Such people, otherwise known as 'pricks in the pincushion of life' almost microscopically scan for things you and I would overlook as being so insignificant within language they do not even register, and with the zealousness of a CSI on amphetamines seeking a Nobel prize for scientific discovery, point out crimes so the rest of us are left feeling as if we've committed a linguistic murder we know nothing about, and remorse we must carry the burden of. If you've ever been sent to Facebook jail you'll no doubt identify with this already.

So, what was this heinous word used, I believe, merely twice in a movie of some 2 hours and 19 minutes duration? Well, all I can say is congratulate yourself if you already knew of the word 'Hottentot' and you are of Dutch origin, because I sure as hell hadn't. Now, if like me, you are stunned by the belief that someone had so much time on their hands that they went to the trouble of actually picking possibly less than two seconds from the dialogue of the movie to research a word that dates back to the sixteenth century, join the club.

The very fact that the film, at that time, grossed over $40m and since then over $103m without the use of 'Hottentot' entering popular mainstream, everyday language shows just how irrelevant the person who highlighted this farcical attempt to create a headline for themselves really is, and perhaps even why they feel the need to do everything possible to maintain their income by assuming their importance, when in reality they are a total nonentity-jobsworth who inviegle, even con their way into companies and corporations, for the most part, to fix things that don't even need fixing in the first place. Visa-vie, highlighting the word 'Hottentot'.

Just when I thought I was finished writing for today, I then rechecked my news notifications to discover another logjam of inanely illogical traffic piling up to filter my way through without killing someone in their slow, theoretically, next-to-brain-dead lane. Being mindful of the fact that from the seven thousand languages in the world there simply wouldn't be enough expletives for me to justifiably express my feelings towards an increasing population of numpties in one blog post, I will try my very best to judiciously edit the following comments as I go. The lunacy of the Israel/Palestine emotional incontinence people are displaying takes the term 'screwed-up' to a whole new level in the world of contemporary kidult.

When I was writing 'The Sexual Philanthropist' some space was given to commenting about, and predicting the growing trend in self-entitlement displayed by those of the millennium generation through to their progeny, and their progeny's progeny. Courtesy, politeness, manners, respect, and consideration have all been sidestepped in favour of it all about being 'me' and what I want, no matter the cost to others. These people will hold up traffic, deface both public and private property, protest in an intimidating way outside private residences and offices, troll people, and threaten others with violence and death because somehow they are under the illusion it is their right to do so.

Look, I'm all for peaceful protest, however, it's now escalating more toward mob rule, and this should be worrying for every one of us.

The Almighty Gob.
