"Thank you for your patience. Your position in the queue is hopeless".
from John Langley. Author of 'The Sexual Philanthropist' a neurodivergent autobiography published on Amazon/Kindle.
Not entirely the best way to start my day, being held in a phone queue waiting to speak with a human while listening to umpteen messages advising me on the different ways I can access medical treatment, and then after twelve minutes of patiently (no pun intended) waiting, to be subsequently told that I'm a number two doesn't in any way cause me to feel a whole lot better about myself before I've spoken to a medical receptionist who does a far better job protecting GP's from people like me than an army of Border Force personnel could do in a decade on the Kent coast in terms of migrant landings.
Ah well, undeterred I carry on with my day regardless and turn my attention to a slew of overnight emails and antisocial media notifications of all varieties. Thanks, Amy, it will now be the highlight of my entire day knowing that you are now in a relationship with Tommy - whoever you both are. Why should I even care?
It's not like you are the first, or even the last to enter a relationship with another human being. However, if there ever comes a time when you, or anyone else should enter into a relationship with a pygmy goat, this would be worth knowing and I'll be the first to take you on as your new agent/manager. So, sign up now and I'll be waiting. We'll negotiate the percentage later.
As per usual, the trolls are keeping themselves busy, of course. More often than not males with balls the size of a small rodent who are full of angst, and three years on from Covid still feel it compulsory to wear a facemask even though they are alone and sitting on the toilet in the privacy of their own home and wear non-latex gloves just to have a pee. My trollers seem different now compared to when some wished me dead back in 2016 and I was in the running for elected Mayor of Bristol - when the bile I received was far more spectacular in both content and purpose. Of course, I'm still characterised as being politically right, or left when, in fact, I have no political allegiance at all. It's just plain common sense and being unafraid to exercise my forthright and outspoken views unencumbered by all the 'can't say that's' of this world. Dancing tippytoes around other people's self-imposed fragility so they can feel better about themselves over nonsensical issues of no consequence ain't my style, and, if you've read my blog posts up to now you'll know exactly what they are.
If, by chance, you don't, and really cannot be bothered to trawl through them to find all the bits that get the hair on the back of your neck standing fully erect, and hopefully no other parts of your anatomy, or that would be concerning for us both, I'm debating as to whether I should turn my attention back to the topic of Ham-ass/Ham-arse and the pillocks who, with blatant naivety march in support of this terrorist organisation without even being any way conscious of the fact. Or, the British Jews who I see as being the underdogs in a conflict that has sod all to do with them. Save for the fact that so many lives in the Middle East are being taken needlessly there isn't a great deal else to say apart from the fact that the entire conflict reminds me of school days when boys waved their dicks around to see who had the biggest.
To me, at least, the whole thing seems entirely childish, and ego-driven, and causes me to question as to whether there are any actual grown-ups in the metaphorical room of this centuries-old war between the Jews and the Moslems.
Speaking of which, in part, at least, I was taken aback to read that London's Redbridge Council has to hold an Islamic prayer session before its main council meeting because there are those of the Moslem faith sitting as councilors while others of a different faith, or no faith at all seemingly have to sit in on it until done. This got me thinking that there must be other local authorities around the regions where the same practice takes place. Now, to make it absolutely 100% clear to any numpty who dares to suggest that I'm about to make a racist statement, I'm sorry to disappoint you. You see, as much as I welcome people of all faiths to rightfully take their place as duly elected members of their wards and constituencies in local and national politics, I see no reason for special dispensation whereby a meeting to discuss politics on any level should be preceded by a prayer session. Otherwise, a situation would arise whereby Moslems say their prayers, and then the Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans, and so on until all faiths and beliefs are represented before anyone gets down to business.
Again, I have no issues with members of any faith, belief, or religion saying prayers. However, there is a time and a place, and if people wish to engage in prayers they should be respected and given space to do so by all means outside of, and before council agenda business. It seems mighty strange to me that for all the money wasted on employing equality and diversity jobsworths, there appears to be no equality at all given to people of other faiths, and it's more a case of 'like it, or lump it' that would, if matters were reversed, cause no end of dissent within council chambers when to resolve the entire matter it would be more advantageous all round to simply provide a multifaith room. Oh, and before I forget completely, I should point out to the benefit of the blatantly stupid, Islam is a faith, not a race!
To add further insult to injury, today I read of an instance whereby a Jewish councilor from the London Brough of Newham was booed and hissed at when he got up to speak by supporters of the Newham Independents group, who are the opposition group on the council. According to news sources, the party is led by former Labour member Mehmood Mirza, who was suspended by the party in 2020 after being accused of antisemitism. Allegations which he denies. All of which highlights the fact that religion is now creeping its nasty way into politics, and this is one thing that should never, ever be allowed to happen.
