Damn you Langley. Your talk of abbreviations has sent my autistic brain down a mobius strip rabbit hole where I visualise the whole history of human written culture being reduced to a single character "~".
I am now having to read the first few thousand digits of Pi to reset my brain.
Note: The Tilde character comes from the Latin titulus (“title/inscription”), the word medieval scribes used for a little mark written above letters to show something was omitted.
Study finds using abbreviations while texting makes people less likely to reply
"All forms of abbreviations were less likely to get a reply than their spelled-out counterparts, except for the messages that used phonological abbreviations (they didn’t find that exception in a subsequent experiment, however).
In a virtual speed dating experiment, roughly 200 young Americans were paired up for five-minute dates. Half were encouraged to integrate words from one of two lists, an abbreviated version and a spelled-out one, into their conversations. Dates had a much greater desire to continue talking to non-abbreviated texters, and viewed them as more sincere. More of their dates also offered to share their contact information to continue chatting after the experiment. "
You need to keep up with the abbreviations mate. You shouldn't use "texting", it should be "txting" or "txt". You are killing the planet with all those extra characters.
Thinking about it for a few more seconds. Perhaps "B++" (Birth plus a few years) could be replaced by "--D" when we are getting closer to you know what.
Very interesting indeed. Thank you!

And here is an abbreviated version of my comment:
"keep up w/ abbrevs m8. no “texting”—“txting”/“txt”. save chars, save 🌍"
Bragger!
Damn, I knew I was doing something wrong! Blame it on advancing age.
Or "B++" as I like to refer to it.
