Further Tales From Protest City, Right Here In #Bristol.
"money will continue to talk louder than anything else in this capitalist-driven world".
Here we go again. We're now into mid-August, and, as we turn the penultimate corner towards another year closing, (once the Harbour Festival, and the Balloon Fiesta are done and dusted) the one consistency - regardless of season, or weather, we can all rely on nowadays is the adult-nappy-wearing progeny of the millennials finding one cause, or another, to evacuate their bowels over.
Well, rising to, and seemingly holding the number one spot in this year's hissyfit chart of liquid excrement is the Pro-Palestine lobby. Or, perhaps a small front porch, where you might put things to dry when they're wet.
Much to everyone's absolute delight who happened to be driving into the city centre for a bit of quiet, and uninterrupted shopping over the past few weeks, those who previously took to the streets in protest over the Middle East conflict were busy at home, and doing useful things, such as learning how to tie shoelaces, and spell correctly for the purpose of banner writing.
Not any more though. No, they're back with a vengeance this weekend to hold up traffic that'll put more fumes in the air, throw bus timetables out of kilter, and, do everything possible to keep the Hamas masters overjoyed with how successful the propaganda campaign is going on this side of the world, without them having to lift as much as one finger to help organise.
Now, I have to say I'm neither for, nor against either side in this ridiculous conflict that's been ongoing since time immemorial. Except for one thing that's bleeding obvious to anyone with a functioning brain. Israel is like the one black ant in the centre of a colony of red ants. I'll explain.
Israel is surrounded my Moslem run countries, with Lebanon and Syria bordering it to the north, Jordan to the east, Egypt to the southwest and the Red Sea to the south. Israel shares the region with the 22 member states in of the Arab League. Pretty much a slam dunk for the Muslim-run countries then, huh? Well, almost, if it wasn't for Israel getting in the way!
In fairness, the majority of surrounding countries are keeping their powder dry by not getting involved in the conflict. However, the Caliphate very clearly have altogether different ideas by all accounts and see total rulership in Palestine as the icing on the Muslim cake. To Jews, Palestine was their ancestral home, but Palestinian Arabs also claim the land, and, come hell, or high water, they ain't letting go.
So, let them get on with it, and if they choose to wipe one another off the face of the Earth I make no apologies for saying 'it ain't my problem'. In war innocents die, that's an indisputable fact. Do I approve? Of course not.
Would I rather it didn't happen? Yes. However, it does, and, like it, or not, I have to live with it. I have to witness it happening because it's there, on the news, both visually and in audio. Can I do anything about it? Categorically no. Can anyone? Yes, those at the apex of Maslow's hierarchy, the one per cent who control world order. You know, the money men. Am I, or any of us ordinary folk in reach of these people? No. Are the politicians? Not really, because they are way down the food chain, and only slightly above us at the bottom.
Former politicians, such as Blair, may have a foot in the door and have a keen ear on the behind-the-scenes politics of the world that go way above the limitations of our Parliament's governance because he seems to have made it his business to do so. As, in fairness, have politicians from many other countries. Though, no doubt he is nothing more than a minnow among the bigger fish.
Why? More than likely because he isn't a banker. Yes, I said 'banker'. Speaking of which, look no further than Klaus Schwab, founder of the family-run, non-banking business, which has its greasy, financially-meddling little paws in an organisation called the World Economic Forum'. “Since 2015, the World Economic Forum has been transforming from a convening platform to the leading global institution for public-private cooperation,” the WEF said in a statement to CNBC.
You want to know where the 'real' power is in the world? Look no further. A world government is your future, and, when this happens you'll find yourself, your children, and grandchildren even further down the chain than you are right now.
So, keep up with the futile protests for as long as you like. As many protests as you organise won't make a damn difference, as you protesters are nothing more than a blot on the landscape of world politics - a minor inconvenience, or interruption to those who hold the ultimate pursestrings. Oh, and while war continues to make money for those who live 'platinum' card lifestyles, and more, money will continue to talk louder than anything else in this capitalist-driven world from which all roads lead back to the Schwab-built, family-run empire of the WEF.
